In celebration of their 30th anniversary, the Captain Planet Foundation brought SSM&L on to create a hype video to premiere at their 30th Anniversary Gala, celebrating their many accomplishments and continuing the momentum for environmental education and activism.
VIDEO EDITING & ANIMATION
I organized the content—including cartoon clips, volunteer photos and videos, and stock imagery—around the script structure. The video begins with a self-referential nod to the TV show, illustrating how the threat to our planet is much more than fiction. It then hilights each of CPF’s programs, before ending with a CTA for Planeteers new and old to get involved. I created a parallax effect with each volunteering photo, to add a feeling of three-dimensionality, as well as various overlays and animation transitions to smoothly weave it all together.
